Today everybody expect to have a boring class, it dawned too dark and cold, it's because here we are in winter. We also have a very long period in the English class, it's almost two hours and a little more. But we finished planning our dance number for the Talent Show of our school we have in a few months. Nobody have idea of what we were doing, but we were practicing dance moves for a gospel version of Happy by Pharrel and if it doesn't work we're going to playback a song, this class doesn't have any talent. 

After we finished practicing our dance, we learned a new game called categories. This was a game Miss Powell learned in fifth grade, and it seemed to be kind of easy, but almost nobody could enter to the rhythm, it was hard for us. 

It was very funny watching Fabio playing, he is a guy of our class, that nobody expected to see him in the final of the game with Miss Powell, we thought he was a very bad player, but surprise!, he won the game. 

We have a lot of fun in English class today, I hope weather get a little warmer, and this day in school pass fast:).

Edgar Allan Poe

After discussing crime-related vocabulary, we read about writer Edgar Allan Poe.  Here are some facts about the famous author you may not know.  ~Mrs. Powell

1.-Edgar Allan Poe was an inspiration for many famous people like Britney Spears, the Beatles and Marilyn Manson.

2.-Edgar Allan Poe died at 40 years old, really young.

3.-Edgar Allan Poe married his cousin at 27 and his wife was 13 years old at the time.

4.-He was an alcoholic.

5.-He was abandoned when he was a young child.

Meet our Class!

Hey, hi my name is Asha and I am from Bolivia. I am doing this blog for our class. In this blog we will do a lot of different things to try to improve our English, so I will introduce you to my classmates.

MISS POWELL: She is our teacher. She is a loving person, and she always sees the good side of everyone no matter how you are or how you look, she works hard for the things she want and the best thing is that she always cares about you. Her and her family are missionaries here in Bolivia and help the children and their families.

ALEJANDRA (but everybody call her Ale ) : She is my cousin so I know her well.  She is a serious girl, but when she is happy its very fun to be with her. She will support you even if it looks she doesn't care.

ANA PAULA: She is a nice girl. She loves Italy even if she never's been there, she likes to play volleyball, and likes to take a lot of photos.  Also, her mom is a teacher in our school.

VALERIA: She likes to play racquetball, and she is very good at it.  She is intelligent but very lazy, she eats a lot but she never gets fat. She is a good friend that will help you with your problems.

FABIO: He is the only guy in the class, but that doesn't stops him. He is a good guy in which you can trust and he will help you. He is fun to be with.

AND at the end me...I love to eat all the time , I only know how to play volleyball, but I don't do it very well. I like to make my friends and family happy because I don't like to see people sad.
